The museum seems to be growing and making real efforts to expand and diversify their offerings. That being said, I'm not certain that they have sufficiently provided evidence that their stated activities will necessarily result in the organization meeting their listed objectives. It's a good start for them to increase their social media engagement and outreach work (tabling, partnerships), but I would like to see more growth in the projects that they've already embarked on. They're definitely moving in the right direction (the enactment of a strategic plan and the upgrading of the ED position are excellent!), and I have no doubt that they could submit a competitive application for next year with more measurable community impact information.

Excellent description of goals/objectives.
Kahler Natalie - Score: 80.000

Helpful information in the additional operating budget section.

Programmatic narrative is very generic and doesn't create a clear picture of funding request.

Would be helpful to include letters of support from the community.

Lombana Judith - Score: 99.000
The grant is clear and thorough.  With the added effort in marketing and programing, best wishes on increasing visitors and memberships.
Merritt Kenyon - Score: 92.000

Congratulations to bringing on the Executive Director full time and to the hiring of a grant writer.   A lift should be seen in your fundraising efforts.

You've got some friendly competition in neighboring areas who also want to promote their history.  Stay competitive.  Well done!

The museum has a broad range of offerings from programming to on-site research and archival facilities.  Their partnerships, programming and events appeal to a broad demographic.  They have a strong core of volunteers and a commitment to leadership through increased staffing.
