I love the extensive list of programming and activities and the support materials that showcase them. I would like to have seen more objectives relating to improvements or increases rather than minimums.

  • Will qualitative data be collected to support future events?
  • ADA Compliance listings are for the City of St. Petersburg an not specific to the programming or events.

Rusnak Jeff - Score: 87.000

Grant proposal lacking details and a sense of story about the purpose for this project.

Proposal impact didn't address how individuals, such as writers, students and partnering entities, including the local bookstore, are impacted.

The "Build Your Audience" section is generic and lacking detail. A missed opportunity to discuss how the project can offer a collaborative space for writers and the literary arts in the City during and beyond the event.

Virtual programming is good.

The attached documents were helpful, though some of that material could have been included in the narrative to make the proposal stronger.

  • I love the statement that St Pete "actively and intentionally invests in equitable access to arts and culture across all neighborhoods.”
  • I wasn't sure sure what the pillars for progress and their measures were.
  • Are the featured artists for 2025 the same ones that presented in 2023? I would love to see a well-established "headliner" poet, in addition to the broad diversity of poets and the emerging local poets.
  • Great partnerships! Ask your partners to write letters of support and / or upload surveys to show qualitative impact of your programs to improve upon this solid application.
West-White Clarissa - Score: 95.000
Although the quality of offerings and track record were clearly established, I had concerns about the number of anticipated youth reached by the project.
