Love your patron/collector program.

How are you measuring attendance to the event? 50,000 is a great number, but curious about how you track it? I would include this in your next application.
Gunter Ben - Score: 89.000

Check the grammar in your synopsis/mission statement.

Difficulty in accessing website and error in reporting the number of years of complete programming get your reader off to a rough start in this proposal.

Your goals are well defined.  Do they define you?  As I read your goals, I get a strong sense that you value art as a marketable commodity and people as volunteers to make marketing art move more smoothly.  What I miss is a sense of art as a vital part of your community, as an expression / connection / exploration that is dear to your organization's heart. How is this Festival rooted in where you live? How does it (re)invest in home folks?

(For example, it's impressive that you support artists with $25,000 in awards. But if 90% of the artists, and all of the judges, are from outside Volusia County, how are those awards fostering art where you live, and reflecting your organization's passion for art?  I start to hear your passion for nurturing art in your hometown when you describe youth programs and year-round programs.  Are they integrally linked with the Festival?  They sound physically and fiscally separated ... and less important.)

Though this grant is for FY18, the Timeline describes activities in 2017.

Impact:  I am surprised that a Festival so large is so racially monotone.

You make a good case for recruiting administrative support, and increasing local, year-round activities.  But then your budget projections don't show funding for administrative support.  Management section seems slightly disconnected from Impact.

Accessibility statement is well thought-out and well written.

Support materials are eye-catching.  Good to see theater in your mix.  Impressive tour of artist studios.  How do you promote that?

Kolenic Anthony - Score: 90.000

E: Measurable goals are listed, but what is the aim/target %? No partnerships listed; prep and other aspects not listed in timeline.

I: Does the target audience match the DeLand demographic? If so, explain. Any efforts to diversify audience alongside efforts to diversity programming?

M: Good evaluation methods; strong fiscal situation.

A: Completion of the 504? No policies/procedures. No multicultural outreach efforts.

Mitchell Susan - Score: 93.000

The Patron/Collector program is an interesting way to enhance the attractiveness of the event.

I would suggest that you do a basic 504 evaluation, noting that it deals with visual and hearing impairments as well as mobility barriers. You may discover new ways to expand your audience.

I appreciated the artist evaluation in the support materials

Moore Regina - Score: 92.000
It is incredible how The DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts is an all volunteer organization, and its activities benefit over 50,000 people! Strong board of directors and committees. I liked to see the variety of support materials in this application.
Schlehr Aimee - Score: 96.000
Goals, Objectives and activities clearly identified. Strong impact and management statements. Suggestion for strengthening accessibility might include large print collateral and signage for visually impaired.
